Reconnecting with Africa
Cultural and technological exchange
Exchange of knowledge, traditional and contemporary technologies, and creative collaboration.
Exchange does not run in one direction. Traditional technologies of the Pacific —timber construction, river navigation, mangrove management, food preservation— speak with equivalent knowledge on the African continent.
We organise gatherings, residencies and exchanges where that dialogue happens between peers. The contemporary and the ancestral are not opposed: the question is who decides which technology is adopted, and what for.
